Godsiff not in favour of changes to the Abortion Law
Following the statements made by Jeremy Hunt, the newly appointed Secretary of State for Health that he favours a 12 week limit instead of the current 24 limit for abortions Roger said: “My views have always been perfectly clear. I have not seen any evidence to convince me that there should be any change in the current 24 week limit and this is a view shared by David Steel who pioneered the original Private Members Bill which was the basis for the current abortion law.
I will not, therefore, be voting for any change in the current 24 week limit for abortions.”
