Offensive material attacking Muslims--please report to police if you receive this

Several local residents have contacted Roger to raise their concerns about highly offensive material which has been circulated, aimed against Muslims. Roger of course condemns this appalling hate speech and aggression, which can have no place in our society.
He heard from Police Superintendent Jane Bailey that the police are treating this extremely seriously, and the Counter Terrorism Unit are leading the investigations. She also urges communities not to redistribute or share the letter on social media as doing so will only further spread the abhorrent message.
Superintendent Bailey writes that: “At this moment in time, I am not aware of any letters being received in the West Midlands region. However, due to the sharing of the letter across social media platforms I appreciate this has led to a high level of public awareness and concern. I do believe to stop the spread of this letter it is sensible to urge communities not to re-distribute or share the letter on social media as doing so will only further spread the abhorrent message.
“West Midlands Police reiterates it is proud to police our diverse Birmingham East and wider communities and will take action against those who commit a hate crime.
“Members of the community with any concerns about a communication they have received should contact West Midlands Police on 101 (non-emergency) or 999 (emergency). I do urge anyone who receives a letter of this nature to report it to us, and we will investigate.”
